Dr. Wolfgang Dettmann obtained his Ph.D. in the area of biophysics with research on molecular binding forces with an AFM at the University Munich, Germany. In 2000 he joined Infineon, and covered positions from technology development for lithography to structured product development processes. Since 2009 he is responsible for collaborative projects on European and national level. He links business line related innovation at Infineon to funding programs, focus is on sensors, power semiconductors and networks. As coordinator of two larger ENIAC projects he gained experience in leading large international projects (MAS - mobile ambient assisted living, finished in 2013 & ESEE - environmental sensors for energy efficiency, finished in 2016). Since November 2016 he is Vice-Chairman within EGVIA (European Green Vehicles Initiative Association), as representative in the Executive Board from the smart systems industry (EPoSS). In the Green Vehicle related projects he is in regular exchange with the relevant project coordinator and business units to create content for upcoming calls and initiate call relevant projects. He is presenting Infineon in the PENTA TEG and within the EPoSS community in the Executive Committee. Since 2011 he is active participant in the EPoSS Automotive Working Group and contributed to the EPoSS Roadmap “Automated Driving”. He is involved since the start of EGVIA as EPoSS Delegate in the Industrial Board of EGVIA. Within EPoSS he is co-leader of the key technologies working group. At Infineon he leads since 2014 the group for innovation support and services to enable innovative solutions in new emerging areas as the IoT, 5G, Industry 4.0 and automotive areas.
