Europe Programme Director - Systems Division at CEA Leti
Bernard is in charge of developing and strengthening CEA Leti's cooperation programmes with industry, RTOs and academics at both European and international level. He coordinates a dozen personnel working day-to-day on European (EU) and international operations. These cooperation missions are aimed at providing partner industries with a range of technologies dedicated to fully exploiting microelectronics potential in their specific environments, essentially in relation to connectivity, embedded intelligence, power management and security. CEA Leti's Systems Division manages and coordinates around 15 European projects on an annual basis.
In line with these objectives and activities, Bernard fosters CEA Leti's involvement in EU smart mobility-related projects including BONVOYAGE, HIGHTS, SAFE STRIP and EVERLASTING. In addition, he heads the Cybersecurity Expert Group, a cross-cutting activity within EARPA (European Automotive Research Partner Association). He has co-authored EARPA’s position paper on this topic. He is the Vice-Chair for Industry 4.0 in the European Cyber Security Organisation ECSO's Verticals Working Group.
Bernard graduated as an engineer at Lyon's National Institute for Applied Sciences in 2003. He later led French participation in ERA-Net Plant Genomics (2005-2007), assisted SMEs and laboratories in accessing EU programmes and coordinated the PERIA project on SME innovation support within German, Spanish, Hungarian and French regions (2010-2012). Bernard joined CEA Leti in December 2014.
